Gift Ideas for Your Golfing Spouse

Posted in golf discount  by admin
December 24th, 2011

In today’s golf crazy world, the odds are good that your spouse is a golf fanatic. If they are not fanatics, they are probably at least regular golfers who spend a considerable amount of time hitting the links. If you indeed have a spouse who is an avid golfer, you may be interested in finding that perfect golf gift for them. The question is how can you find something that is a little different but is still the ideal golf gift for your spouse. There are many items of golf equipment and accessories that you can consider purchasing for your spouse. Let’s take a look at some non-traditional golf gifts that you may not have considered.

Does your spouse play different golf courses frequently? Sometimes golfers like to collect golf balls from the many courses that they have played and keep them in a nice wooden collector’s case that they can hang on their wall or on a cabinet in their office. If they already have the golf balls, they might love that collector’s box to keep them in. If they already have the box and a collection of golf balls, maybe purchase a round at a nicer golf club in your area that they haven’t played.

Maybe your spouse has been talking about taking golf lessons. Consider talking to the golf pro at his/her club and have them put together a package of lessons that includes instruction on the range and “on-course” instruction. Many golfers haven’t thought of “on-course” teaching but this can be tremendous fun and help them improve their golf game as well.

A lot of people give golf apparel as a gift so it may seem a little common at first. But have you considered a golf shirt or wind shirt special ordered from a famous golf location? Or maybe give them a very nice rain suit, maybe something in Gore Tex. It may be something they wouldn’t buy for themselves. There are many golf apparel choices nowadays from online stores that you couldn’t find just a few years ago.

You might not normally consider giving golf clubs since it might seem that your golfer has everything, but what about a set of used golf clubs as a second set. What, you say? Used golf clubs? A second set of golf clubs? Well consider this, wouldn’t your golfer love a second set of clubs identical to their first set that they can leave at the golf club and only have to carry their clubs with them when they visit a different golf course? Spoil them with this unusual golf gift! And you can sometimes find them for a price you wouldn’t believe.

If there are some golf clubs that your spouse doesn’t have, you now have a large variety of golf e-tailers online and you can find some great bargains on discount golf clubs. Maybe a special wedge they have been wanting, a new design putter, or a fairway wood to replace those golf irons they can’t hit, like the 3 or 4 iron. Or possibly they have their eye on some brand new golf training club or gadget.

If you are willing to spend some big bucks for a special anniversary or birthday, consider buying a golf trip to a special golf location. They may be dying to play at Pinehurst, Pebble Beach, or maybe even St Andrews. You might even want to go along and enjoy the travel and scenery, or ride along in the golf cart. Or you can pick a golf destination that is very close to one of your favorite pursuits.

One golf gift that your spouse may not expect from you is a subscription to a second golf magazine or to the Golf Channel if they don’t have that. Most times they wouldn’t expect you to encourage them to spend more time watching or reading about golf. But look at it this way, you can give them a golf gift that they love and keep them at home a little more!

Custom fitting golf clubs is the process for tailoring a golf club to suit your personal swing. Whatever your level, with a custom golf club the aim is to ensure that if you do make a good swing, the club will be square at impact and should produce a straight shot.

What do company’s like The Golf Warehouse purchase clubs for?

Posted in golf discount  by admin
December 6th, 2011

How much does it cost a company like TGW or DSG to initially buy golf clubs for. Say like Mizuno mp 58′s that are $1000 or somethin thats $500 how much is it for the company’s. The reason I am asking this is because I can get clubs at cost price or wholesale wich ever because I work for a guy that can get them for me at that price.
And is there a difference between wholesale and cost because he said at cost.
How much would it cost though to get something around $1000? $500?

I can give you the manufacturers cost…for example…Callaway FT-9…head…$22.14….shaft, Fiujikura Z-COM…$6.40…grip $.90…deluxe headcover….$1.72….RETAIL, $399.99
Irons….MP58′s…head, $7.54…shaft Dynamic Gold, $2.77…..grip…$.90…RETAIL…$999.99

If I can make a recommendation…..look at, Swing Science Clubs and shafts. This companis clubs are designed by, Mark Adams, designer of Tommy Armour 845′s…awesome clubs…old grooves….2011 version of 845…in forged and cast, which can be adjusted up to 4 degrees. Get Driver,(designed w/ Craig Stadler)., 2 fairway woods, a hybrid, and 4-sw…all for a GRAND in cast…$1,200 in forged! All are custom fit.

Somehting else for all you know it all”s….THERE IS NOT A GRAPHITE SHAFT ON THE MARKET, RETAIL OR PRO ONLY….THAT COSTS MORE THAN $16.24 TO MAKE!!!!!!!!!! FACT!

Finding the Perfect Tips Golf Clubs…

Posted in golf clubs for sale  by admin
December 1st, 2011

The following article lists some simple, informative tips that will help you have a better experience with golf clubs.Hopefully the information presented so far has been applicable. You might also want to consider the following:

If you think any old golf clubs will do, you haven’t been on the course trying to compensate for a club that’s simply too long or two short. Besides making a shambles of your golf game, ill-fitting clubs can leave your body aching after the game. If you’re spending all your time compensating, you probably aren’t shooting your best or even enjoying the time on the course.

So does that mean that you’re going to spend hundreds of extra dollars on a set of clubs with a custom fit? While custom clubs are one answer, most people can find what they need from a well-stocked golf store. But there are some things to keep in mind.

Length of the club is important, but it’s not everything. The pros say that the size of your golf club’s grip should be comfortable for your hands. That’s why clubs for younger players and women often have a smaller grip.

If you should decide to go for a set of custom clubs, what is the process? It’s nothing like be measured for a suit. The point is not only to make the club reach from the point of your outstretched hand to the ground, but also to make the most of your body – your strengths and your weaknesses. So don’t go for your custom golf club fitting session expecting to spread your arms and stand still while someone uses a tape measure.

A good custom fit will probably take place both inside and outside. The best custom fit clubs will be tailored so that your swing is taken into account. Sound expensive? Possibly.

While some major golf club manufacturers will charge (dearly) for the actual “fitting,” many offer up this service for free, with your commitment to buy clubs from that company. While custom clubs are more expensive than clubs purchased “off the shelf” from your local golf supplier or even from an outlet store or individual, the results will probably show themselves right away on the golf course.

Consider the shots that you may have been compensating for all your years of playing golf. If you’re taller or shorter than the “typical” golfer, or even if you have some muscle strengths or weaknesses that make your game a bit more of a challenge, custom clubs can help you compensate.

But what if you want the clubs immediately? Do you have to go with “off the shelf” clubs? Actually, many manufacturers who provide custom golf clubs promise delivery within just a few days, a week or two at most.

Among the few negatives of custom golf clubs is the potential for offering them up as a surprise gift and the potential for resale. But at the same time, the golfer who is going to receive the custom clubs will likely gladly give up the “surprise” and most who go to this expense and trouble aren’t going to offer the clubs for sale.

Only you can decide whether custom golf clubs are a good investment for you. If you’re going to spend a bundle of money for an awesome set of clubs, you may very well take the extra step to get custom clubs.

There’s a lot to understand about golf clubs. We were able to provide you with some of the facts above, but there is still plenty more to write about in subsequent articles.

The Purchase Of Discount Golf Clubs

Posted in golf discount  by admin
November 20th, 2011

It is no secret that golf is an expensive game. Green fees, clubs, balls, clothes, and of course the 19th hole; they all add up to quite a lot of money if you are not careful. There are a lot of ways to make the game more affordable, and one of them is through discount golf clubs.

Golf clubs are the single biggest expense that a golfer faces, so discount golf clubs can go a long way toward making this expensive game much more affordable. If you want to avoid the high prices that you find in a pro shop and fancy retailers, then you have to know where to turn and what you are looking for.

If you are looking for discount golf clubs that are new, then Internet retailers are probably your ideal starting point. Internet golf retailers are typically less expensive than pro shops, and they have a wider selection of discount golf clubs as well. The same can be said for many of the larger retailers. Regardless of which direction you choose, be sure to check for discontinued models of clubs. Often, clubs that were all the rage a season ago will be marked down and sold as discount golf clubs this year. It is not uncommon to save as much as 50% on these discount golf clubs!

If you are looking for discount golf clubs that are used, then there are many avenues from which you can choose. Internet auction sites are a very popular resource for people looking to purchase discount golf clubs. With a little luck and some patience, you can often snag a deal for the discount golf clubs that is well below the market value. In addition to Internet auctions, many golf related message boards have “flea market” sections where discount golf clubs are sold for very reasonable prices.

If you’d like a chance to see the discount golf clubs before you buy them, then you might look to one of the large golf oriented retail stores. They often have trade-in programs that keep them well stocked in all varieties of used discount golf clubs, and you can usually try them out in the store before you buy. No matter what direction you turn in your search for discount golf clubs, a little time can save you a lot of money.

Where can I get good golf clubs cheap?

Posted in used golf clubs  by admin
November 13th, 2011

I’m 15 and I’ve been playing golf since I was 9. I’ve outgrown my last set of clubs (I’m 6 ft 3 in) and I need to get some new ones. I’m getting a summer job so I can pay for some new ones, but I need an entirely new set. If anyone can tell me where to get new clubs cheap, it would help a lot!

Well if you have old ones then take them in to a golf specialty shop and trade them in so you can get some cash off, if not then i would try dick’s or golf galaxy.
